MANAR LIGHT PROJECT ABU DHABI
It has been a great pleasure being involved in Manar Light Project, 'Grounding Light', Abu Dhabi. The name Manar, lighthouse in Arabic, is the context of this outdoor exhibition which illuminates the city and its natural habitats. The exhibition includes light projections, time-based media works, sculptural light installations and performances by renowned artists, such as Shezad Dawood, Shilpa Gupta, Mohammed Kazeem, Nadia Kaabi-Linke and Latif Saeed.
Abu Dhabi is well known for its unique geography and archipelago. On this occasion visitors have the opportunity to explore these immersive artworks along the Corniche and on water journeys to the Eastern Mangroves and various islands.
The exhibition closes on 30 January 2024.

LES FLEURS DU MAL
We celebrated Keita Miyazaki's exhibition "Excess of Desire" at Gallery Rosenfeld. The event was accompanied by a thought-provoking talk led by Renée Pfister, exploring the intriguing dialogue between Keita's masterful works and Baudelaire's "Les Fleurs du Mal”. It was an opportunity to delve into the profound connections between art, literature and other cultural associations.

CECILIA BULLO - HAUNTED BY BREEZES
"There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish."
Michelle Obama
In Being haunted by the breezes, now how will you exist?, Cecilia Bullo incorporates sculpture, sound and installation. Created specifically for her exhibition earlier this year in the Gallagher Gallery, Dublin, Ireland, this new body of work explores the artist’s concerns around gender violence and ecofeminism. The work emerges from the artist’s urge to reconnect directly with material processes and the bodily act of making. Specifically, Bullo seeks to celebrate the return of the feminine and her/their personification and incarnation as a creatrix, fighter and destroyer.

PIP DICKENS - A CONUNDRUM OF CLOUDS
“Clouds in the sky very much resembles the thoughts in our minds!
Both changes perpetually from one second to another!”
Mehmet Murat Ildan
Clouds to most of us seem less a scientific phenomenon, rather, a phantasmagorical wonder of nature. They are at once mesmerising and contradictory – light, airy puffs of cold moisture that weigh tons. None of us consider their incredible weight or that this tonnage hanging directly above our heads is threatening in any way.
