Human eyes are distinctive and can express so much without a word. In his recent series ‘In the Eye of the Beholder’, Ernesto Romano took close-up photographs of the eyes of his clients and friends. He overlaid these images with floral forms in complementing colours. The results are intimate and unique eyescapes in a whirlwind of hues and patterns. Combining the human iris, with a specific blossom reflects the artists interest and passion in the natural world. The shades and textures of Romano’s eyepieces echoing enduring beauty and mesmerise the viewers.
