Earlier this year two research projects brought me Bilbao.  As planned, I visited the Thomas Struth exhibition at the Guggenheim. I had been in two galleries when I turned round and behind me stood Thomas Struth. What a surprise !! We chatted a little and he invited me to the finissage events organised by his studio in Berlin in collaboration with the Guggenheim Museum. What treat !! As a thank you I offered to write a piece about his exhibition, which was published in Arts & Collections Magazine in March, just before lockdown.

Writing about artists’ work I admire is always humbling. It provides an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of their opus and to gain an insight into their life as well as discussing their viewpoints and work processes.
