Renée Pfister Art & Gallery Consultancy is delighted to present Rozanne Hawksley’s Bone Assemblages at Brighton Art Fair. Rozanne Hawksley's haunting and ambiguous works are well known in Britain and overseas. With her ongoing work Look on small beautiful things she captivates the viewer with her meticulously stitched bone assemblages. She creates a world of silence well suited for the acknowledgment of our inept relationship with an uncomfortable truth. Look on small beautiful things is a continuing series were she assembles collected animal bones on natural calico held with golden and cream thread. These extraordinary anatomical structures are carefully arranged in small groups or as single individual pieces. To her, bone conveys the fragility of the human condition and has a symbolic meaning.
